Saxony’s laws and decrees
The Sächsisches Gesetz- und Verordnungsblatt is the official publication medium of the Saxon state chancellery for laws and decrees in the Free State of Saxony. When the Saxon parliament adopts a bill, the president of the state parliament communicates the ruling of the decision to the minister president and the responsible state ministers for countersignature. Afterwards the law is executed and announced by the Saxon state chancellery in the Sächsisches Gesetz- und Verordnungsblatt. As well as the laws, the Saxon state chancellery also initiates the announcement of decrees of the Saxon state government, the Saxon state ministries and the Saxon regional administrative authorities. Many laws and decrees come into effect on the day after announcement. When the Sächsisches Gesetz- und Verordnungsblatt appears is decided by the publisher.
