Saxon Print and Publication Stock Company:
Successful transition of generations at the company board
Klaus Deutsch transfers his responsibilities in whole to his son Christopher Deutsch
(Dresden, dated 2004-05-03) SDV – Medien AG, a specialist for procurement and complex print solutions, announces changes in the company board today.
Klaus Deutsch, age 64, presiding chief of board transfers his responsibilities to his son per 2004-05-03. Christopher Deutsch, age 36, presently CEO of the company subsidiary Direct World GmbH and member of the SDV AG board shall lead the company strategy as chief of board in the future. He has been responsible for marketing and business development in the SDV group since 1996.
Thus, a transition of generations at the top of the Saxon-based company is established with the above-mentioned changes. Klaus Deutsch established the Saxon Print and Publication Stock Company as a classical provider for offset print products at first. Further business areas, such as digital print, direct marketing, and public procurement followed later. He transitioned the successful company into a family owned stock company in 1999.
„Our company policy was always focused to the future, and that will remain so. The persistent implementation of innovative, convincing, and efficient solutions was the base of the company success in an otherwise difficult industrial branch.”, Klaus Deutsch says.
Further companies belong now to the group. sdz Direct world GmbH is active throughout Germany as expert for printing-on-demand and direct marketing. The company subsidiary MID Verlags GmbH is responsible for publication, advertisement, and publication supplements of the Dresdner Amtblatt, and develops further publication products.
Today, the SDV group has positioned itself on the market as a leading provider for individualized and personalized print products at a high level of quality. “Displaying this profile, we belong to the three players in Germany that accommodates such a wide focus in the company group”, Christopher Deutsch is delighted to repeat.
The successful implementation of innovations has made SDV – Die Medien AG to what it is today. Thus, the company group presents a world premiere at the greatest direct marketing fair of Europe in Duesseldorf (DIMA 2003). SDV AG has developed the product DirectAd® together with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG that automatically glues personalized tip-on cards onto ads of subscriber magazines. The first successful projects verify the strategy of the company to accommodate the increasing trend towards individualization in the print industry by implementing innovative products.
“SDV – Die Medien AG is well positioned in these markets, and will understand to accommodate the requirements and needs of our customers in a unique fashion, also in the future.”, Christopher Deutsch says.
