Besides management of this publicly traded company and its subsidiaries, SDV – Die Medien AG is also responsible for business areas such as tendering and local media as well as central management, which is located on the expansive grounds of Tharandter Strasse.

Local Media division

SDV Verlags GmbH developed from a service contract to manage the 'Dresdner Amtsblatt' within a few years to become a regional publishing house with a broad palette of objectives.
Since the 30th of June 2010, SDV Verlags GmbH has been integrated with SDV – Medien AG as its local media division, and it is also responsible for the marketing of the city’s print and online publications 'Dresdner Amtsblatt' and 'dresden.de'. The local media division continues to be the publisher of 'Dresdner Akzente' together with the State Capital of Dresden, which appears weekly as a supplement to 'Dresdner Amtsblatt', as well as 'DRESDEN kompakt', the annual topical guide to Dresden and area.
